Curiosity

Do I need to explain the joke here? That's the Mars rover killing a cat like a dog would kill a cat. The cat was curious about Mars so it went up there but ran a cropper because there was a dog there called rover that is actually a space probe thingy. So curiosity killed the cat cos he shouldn't have went up there. Actually now that I think of it the joke here is that the rover is called Curiosity. Curiosity killed the cat. Thats better isn't it? It's nothing to do with rover being a dogs name. No idea where I got that from. NONE LAURA NONE! For all you science geeks out there, this is very clever and i'd expect it to be on IFL science if they still did science stuff.

Robot Bingo

Do robots play bingo? I like to think so. What are the prizes? I don't know but I bet they're class.

Avengers Script Meeting

The new biggest film in the world has just been released. I heard that Age of Ultron make at least 20 billion in it's first hour. That may or may not be true. I liked it but it just seemed like over kill. Every scene was just constant fighting and blowing up to the point where I didn't really care. I'm Guessing it's Michael Bay's favourite Marvel film. There were some great bits involving Thor's hammer and anything with the Vision. James Spader as Ultron was great. There just seemed like there wasn't enough story. They added Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch but in such a way that you don't really care about them. Am I looking forward to seeing more of them in the next film?  Meh. Maybe it's one of those films that gets better with a second watch. Maybe it just seems a let down because the first one was so great.

Robocopy

So they're making a Robocop reboot (heh heh reboot, get it?) down in ol' Hollywood and in their infinite wisdom they've decided to make it a PG-13. I find that a bit odd. When you think back to the original among the many memorable scenes is Murphy's (spoiler alert) death scene where he is (spoiler alert) blown to pieces in the most terrifying and bloody fashion (it's also (spoiler alert) hilarious). Seems that a lot of the original charm of Robocop was the over the top ultra-violence of a robotic law man blowing criminals to kingdom come. This new one which I will admit has a lot of promising elements to it, Sam Jackson, Michael Keaton for example (and the suit doesn't look too bad either) has wimped out a bit. I reckon they want to sell a lot of Robocop toys and if its able to be shown to kids then they can sell more toys. I worry that they're missing the point a bit though. The R rated attitude of the original is one of its defining features, the bad guys are real sadistic bastards who get their comeuppance in a delightfully theatrical way. Making a PG-13 Robocop is  like a family friendly 'Human Centipede' cartoon. It kinda misses the point.

Gaybots

Well as we all know, today is the day day of the royal wedding! What dress will Kate wear? Will she say I do? Will Prince Phillip make an inappropriate comment to a foreign dignitary?
I thought I'd get into the spirit of things too by posting this Star Wars Comic. If I wasn't in work during the wedding I'd be watching Star Wars. Lovely day for a bit of Star Wars.
Oh and in case you where wondering, she'll wear a white one, yes she will and of course he will.

Allergic Reaction

Someday god willing, we will all be replaced by robots and the world will continue as it is today but with more robots (and less people). They will use their robot minds to clear up this planet that we have so fervently destroyed, they will solve the energy crisis, mend that hole in the ozone layer and most importantly create polar bear sanctuaries in the Arctic. After a while the robots will tire of having to fetch and carry for themselves, so they will start growing humans in tubes and putting them to work. Humans will become so popular that there will be one in every household. Eventually they will become so dependent on us that they wont be able to do anything for themselves. That is when we will strike and take back this world of hours. That's global warming pretty much sorted then.
