Everything Floats UP Here

Pennywise from Stephen King's IT floats on the house from Disney Pixar's Up

What should I have called this one? I settled on 'Everything Floats UP Here'. Is it overkill to have UP in upper case? I mean if you look at it, it's clearly the house from UP. What if you don't remember that line from IT. Does the title become meaningless? Should I have called it 'UP, IT and Away'? Is that better? It points a bit more to the clown being from IT, does that need pointed out? Does everything need spelled out? Is it even worth it? Probably not. Those balloons took ages to draw and colour. That house took ages to draw and I drew it twice for the close up. Can you even notice that Russell is in one of the windows there? Is that lost? Such insecurity many wow. At the very least it looks colourful and I like those balloons in the title box.

Father's Day

What are all those lights for inside the death star? The ones in the background there. Do they do anything? Is there a book you can buy that gives you information on each light and switch in the background? Why are some of them red? Are they supposed to be red? Is that something we should worry about or does it just mean that something is off? There's so many Star Wars books, there's bound to be one on those lights. Dorling Kindersly might have published one. If there's not a book then maybe a website. If there's not a website then maybe thats something you should think about making. Once you've made it, send me a link. I'd really like to know about those lights.

Robot Bingo

Do robots play bingo? I like to think so. What are the prizes? I don't know but I bet they're class.

Rookie Mistake

Stormtroopers are great. They're just so stormtoopery. Not like regular troopers, they aren't stormtroopery. It's the lack of stormy-ness I think.

Monitor Lizard

Monitor Lizards are monitoring all of our lizardy doings. All the time. Are they monitoring Keith Duffy? Who can tell?

No More Tears

No more tears

If you're looking at this and thinking that my artwork has really gone downhill then you'd be right. I no longer care if it looks like I've drawn my comics on the back of a napkin. Napkins are perfectly legitimate formats for art. Leonardo Da Vinci once drew 4 penises on a serviette and you don't see people complaining about that.

Advent

Merry Christmas! It's the first of December and it's time to queue up in the cold to hand your kid over to a stranger so that they can sit on his lap and have their photo taken. Such memories!

Party Bros

Word on the street is that this is a sweet party. There's even a hipster there with his beard and hair combo and his nice plaid shirt buttoned up to the top. There's probably some guy there with a man bun and a pair of moccasins. If you want some advice though, don't go near yon girl in the red dress. She may seem like the party now but after half a bottle of Cava she'll be shoutin' about how all men are fascist pigs and stealing everything in the ice box. She's a complete dumpster fire. If you want to talk to someone with something interesting to say, talk to Jimmy on the left hand side. He's a Pez Dispenser.

On Second Thoughts

Seems to me that, that hand guard is a pretty good idea. Star Wars has a long history of hand and arm choppings. Luke, Anakin, Mace Windu, that guy from the first one who had a bum for a mouth (Pondo Baba). No one's arms are safe in the galaxy. Kylo Ren's are a little bit safer though.

Know Your Audience

It's important to know one's audience and from what I can gather, my audience is people looking for a blog about skeletons. Maybe even written by a skeleton. Well you're out of luck because this is a blog about a bunch of comics that I did. There's some police men in this one and some chaps in suits. I reckon it's a corker. Maybe you think that means that there's a cork in it or even an instrument for opening some wine. Well you're wrong. It's just a comic with some police men in it and some chaps in suits.
